Katie Gray
Katie Gray is a writer, singer and counsellor dedicated to supporting those navigating emotional pain. Drawing from her own experience of recovering from a 17-year struggle with food addiction and bulimia, she uses her voice and experience insight to guide others through their own healing journeys.
Journey of the Empowered Heart invites readers on a thoughtful and supportive inward journey, helping them uncover the root causes of their struggles. Recognising that specific life experiences shape our pain, the book goes beyond offering solutions—it fosters a deeper understanding of why healing is necessary, encouraging lasting self-awareness and growth.

Elizabeth Carter
Before compiling her father’s prisoner of war journal, Elizabeth Carter specialised as a human resources specialist in the West Midlands. She is the daughter of Tom and Joan, a WWII veteran and his wife who endured the after effects of Tom’s capture. Tom’s dying wish was for his daughter Elizabeth to create this book, and after she retired she compiled all of his documents to create ‘My Father’s Book’.
This book follows Tom, a RAF crewman from Birmingham, who is on the cusp of courtship, and sent to fight in World War II. He is eventually captured as a prisoner of war in Southeast Asia, and living in camps where he is starved and tortured. ‘My Father’s Book’ is a brilliant biographical story that was transported from Japan to the UK in his RAF cap, and compiled by Tom’s daughter.

Vanessa Roach Paris
Vanessa was born on the small Caribbean island of Nevis in the early 1950s, and eventually moved to the UK. She is now in her 70s and enjoys writing poetry.
‘Sheep, Sheep, Come Home’ follows Vanessa’s life in Nevis and her journey to the United Kingdom to be reunited with her parents and siblings. It explores the bond and reunification of her family, as well as the autobiographical story of Vanessa’s life in the UK.
